#1 - Hunters - The Basics

Introduction to the Hunters:

Hunters are the descendants of Gelds who survived the fall of their Kingdom and went on to have lots and lots of children. Their legacy of magic has passed on throughout the generations, as countless Hunters have tried so desperately to keep the Daemon population in check, all over the globe. After the fall of the Geldon Kingdom, these families had little to no contact with one another. Eventually the Geldon Kingdom became little more than myth.

But some still believed. And as soon as a potential Hunter encountered a Daemon, there was no turning off the magic that began to awaken within their blood, enabling the Hunters to wield magic-- but be forced to fight Daemons to retain it.

Unlike the Guardians, it is difficult to trace the direct ancestors of most Hunters. Indeed, most have SEVERAL Geld ancestors, which helps explain why two siblings may have two completely different general elements.

At the start of the major campaign of the game, the descendants of the original Hunters accidentally crack open the major seal in Sunset City, thus causeing hoards of daemons to swarm to the town. The Hunters aren't aware of it at first, but their actions have inadvertantly revealed part of the Purity Princess, allowing these daemons to sense her purity and want nothing more than to savage it. Relics are being found left and right, helping give the Hunters a slight advantage in the fight against the evil supernatural side.
