Welcome New Blood!
Written by Kolamity Friday, 16 January 2009 23:18
First of all, I'd like to welcome our trio of new characters, Dr Irving Barsama (played by Gryle), Dusty McNeill (played by d00mpixie), and Reddel Blake (played by Edgewise)!
A few logs have started up: Running Up That Hill: In which Deon goes for a run-- and forces Mara to join him, Mid-Life Crisis: Irv's introduction thread, taking place at the soon to be destroyed Bar None, and No Place Like Home: Dusty's introduction thread (and possibly Reddel's as well), following Dusty's misadventure as he interviews for a room at the Fortress but gets a whole lot of kraken instead). We're slowly finishing up the last run of logs as well.
Finally, there have been a few updates to the website over the last month, beyond integrating the new characters in, mostly of them centered on the campaign timeline page. It should be up to date on log listings, and we also added a miniature calendar for September 2008 to make things a bit easier.
There's a game chat tentatively being scheduled for sometime next week, more information will be posted on the forums once we pick a time & date!
Plotting chat a success!
Wednesday, December 10th
Good evening everyone! Kol here with some more fairly major updates.
We retired our old banner after deciding to experiment with a series of banners in black & white, all featuring subtle ability manifestations in chat tonight. We liked the results so much, we completely overhaul our old pimping materials to integrate the new photo manips
Also, as I type this we are still running the game-wide AIM plotting chat
! A summary of the chat will be up on the forums tomorrow, but we did continue preparing the materials for our new faction, the Jinn. Busy chat is busy!
We should also have a chunk of a new log up sometime in the next twenty four hours. Hurrah for new logs!
Finally, we re-organized the navigation for applicants! Hopefully this navigation will be more straight-forward and help applicants find the relevant information with much greater ease. The Characters & Timelines and Setting & Game Meta sections exist largely as story aids for members, but feel free to peruse if you like seeing how we keep track of details!
Minor Updates Abound!
December 6th:
Big news tonight! We've implemented a temporary layout, which will tide the portal over while Kol familiarizes herself with the Joomla template system. This template is Optimus, a free template from Joomla!Shack.
There's been sporadic line edits throughout the portal tonight as well, cleaning up some code Kol missed in the initial move. The application template has been updated on the game forums (finally).
But the biggest news: Tuesday and Wednesday nights we are planning chats! We hope to have a posting war to finish the Wake Up Call log and to launch at least one new post-seal story. We will also be talking about the conclusion to Campaign 1 and about the 12 Tribes, who will make their first appearance in the second Campaign. So if you are interested in joining the game, both of these chats represent a great opportunity to meet with members and have a bit of fun! Feel free to post your AIM handle on the chat thread and we'll be sure to invite you in.
Welcome to the new portal!

Allow me to welcome you to the fully integrated website for Kingdom, an original collaborative storytelling project! Unlike most RPGs, we allow any form of storytelling media, be it sketches or animations or 20,000 long novellas, to count as game canon. Please refer to our introduction and storytelling system pages if you have any questions on just how this set up actually works.
To help organize the game's website, we divided the information into two sections. Characters & Timelines features pages such as cast profiles, campaign information, campaign timelines, and alternative storylines. Game Meta, meanwhile, features, pages explaining Hunters & Guardians for new applicants as well as pages detailing the game's setting.
Now that the Wake Up Call log is nearly complete the game has reached the middle of our first campaign. Now is the perfect time to integrate new characters! If you have any questions, feel free to visit us on our community forums!
